Molly the Motorhome
Molly the motorhome is the perfect way to explore New Zealand. She has 6 certified cross body seatbelts (two of which have anchor points for child carseats), plus three beds with the capacity for 6 people. Her large panoramic windows make for incredible vistas every day. There is copious amounts of storage inside and out and she comes with cooking untensils, linen, tables and chairs and two adult bikes. All you need for an unforgettable trip around New Zealand!
Mollys Information
Molly comes with following complimentary items: linen, kitchen utensils, outside chairs & table, plus two adult bikes. We will be adding extras as we grow as a business.
Solar: Molly has excellent solar of two 200 watt panels, two deep cell batteries and a 1000 watt inverter. This means you can be off-grid for long periods (or indefinitely if you get sun every 2-3 days). This gives you the freedom and flexibility to decide if you'd like to either: free camp, stay in a $5-10 pp per night camp spot or stay in a traditional campground.
This solar also means you can charge laptops and small appliances without having to be plugged in.
Heating/Air conditioning: Molly has a diesel heater with thermostat, to keep you toasty warm. This is plumbed into the vehicles diesel tank and uses an incredibly nominal amount of diesel to run. When you are plugged in, you can use the heater and air conditioner that is on the ceiling inside the motorhome. There is air conditioning in the cab for when you are driving.
Beds: There is a king sized permanent bed above the cab. The lounge at the back turns into a double bed and the side dinette dinette converts into a single bed or another double bed. So three beds in total.
Kitchen: There is a small gas oven with three gas hobs at the top. The fridge is 133 litres and has a small freezer compartment. The sink has one hot and cold water tap and also a drinking tap with a water filter attached. There is gas hot water. There is a microwave that can only be used when you are plugged in.
Bathroom: There is a shower and toilet plus hand basin in the one cubicle. The toilet has a ventilation system installed, for zero smells (the best invention ever- it should be in every home toilet too!). There is hot and cold water to the basin and shower head.
Seats: There are 6 certified crossbody seatbelts. Two in the front cab and four at the side dinette. Two of the seatbelts that are forward facing at the side dinette have anchor points for child carseats.
Pricing - all amounts are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD)
September - April = $300 NZD per day. 2 week- 4 week minimum hire
May - August = $160 NZD per day. One week minimum hire
Insurance = $40 NZD per day
Bond = $2,000 (refunded after the hire, if no damage)
Cleaning fee - $150
For hires of three months or more, there is a discount.
Pick up & Drop off
We can drop off and collect Molly the motorhome to Auckland or Wellington or a pre arranged spot in between these two cities for no extra cost. We can also drop off and pick up from Christchurch (in the South Island) but this comes with a fee. Please contact us with your dates and ideal pick up and drop off locations, and we can let you know the cost.
